Every year, the Jharkhand Public Service Commission conducts the JPSC Examination. The Civil Service Exam is held by the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) in accordance with Article 315 of the Indian Constitution for the purpose of enrolling candidates for administrative jobs in Jharkhand.

Various examinations are held by the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) for the appointment of Group A and B officials in various departments.

JPSC Selection Process 2022

The candidates are chosen solely on the basis of their merit. As a result, it's critical to check over the toppers' preparation recommendations and establish plans for effective preparation. The stages of the JPSC selection process are listed below.

  1. Preliminary Exams are held to determine which candidates are eligible.
  2. On the basis of their performance in the Prelims, qualified applicants are invited to appear for the Mains Exam.
  3. Candidates who pass the Mains exam are invited to participate in the Interview phase.

 

Candidates that have passed the exams and the interview will be offered positions. These selected candidates will receive their job order in the mail to their communication address, and they must report to their assigned location on the specified day.

JPSC Exam Pattern for Prelims

The JPSC Prelims Exam consists of 2 compulsory Objective type papers for 200 Marks each.

The "JPSC" Preliminary Examination serves as a screening agent, allowing test takers to progress to the next stage/level. 

Furthermore, the Prelims exam is Objective Type/MCQ in nature (Multiple Choice Questions).

Aside from that, the "Preliminary Examination" will consist of two exams, with questions written in both English and Hindi.

The exams are held in "Offline Mode." In the Prelims Exam (JPSC), test takers/ candidates must also write their responses in the OMR sheet, with each question carrying two marks and no penalty marks for erroneous answers.

JPSC Exam Pattern for Mains

Those who successfully clear the Prelims stage are eligible for JPSC Mains. Normally, the number of candidates selected for Mains is 10 times the total number of vacancies.

JPSC's "Main Exam" consists of six papers. 

Apart from the "Main Exam (JPSC)" which will be held in an offline and descriptive format, the "General Hindi & General English" of "Exam – I" is qualifying in nature, and test-takers/ Candidates must obtain at least 30 marks to pass this paper and qualify to the next level. 

However, all question papers (excluding language papers) will be written in English and Hindi. The "Main Exam" in the JPSC Civil Service Exam is worth a total of 1050 marks. 

 

 

Interview/ Personality Test

Those who pass the written exam will be invited to the "Personal Interview," as is customary. It will be held on the basis of a merit list compiled from the scores received in the JPSC's "Main Exam." 

Applicants/ Aspirants who achieve the minimum qualifying marks in the main examination will be shortlisted for the JPSC Interview round for recruitment in Jharkhand Civil Services. 

The interview round is worth a total of 100 marks in the "JPSC Exam." The marks obtained in the interview, when combined with the marks obtained in the written examination, are considered valid for the "JPSC Government's" merit list.
