The first stage of the BPSC AE exam is the written examination. The exam is held offline is of total 600 marks. Out of the total of 600 marks, 400 marks are allotted for the compulsory papers while 200 marks are allotted for the optional papers.

Mechanical Engineering 1 and Mechanical Engineering 2

Candidates should have a full-time degree in the respective engineering discipline i.e. civil, mechanical, and electrical engineering from a recognized university or institution (AICTE approved).
The age limit for BPSC Assistant Engineer is between 21 years to 37 years. Age relaxation is applicable as per the category of the candidates as per the General Administrative Department, Govt. of Bihar.
